Chick-fil-a marketing.

I chose to write this blog post on current marketing about Chick-fil-a. Chick-fil-a is my absolute favorite fast-food chain. The waffle fries, chicken sandwiches, and amazing sauce selection are just a few things I love about their brand. The Chick-fil-a that was located by my high school holds an incredible amount of nostalgia; every Friday night before my football games my teammates and I would fill up on Chick-fil-a. This started my deep love for the fast-food chain. Not only is their food my favorite thing to eat in the world, but the restaurant itself brings me happy memories of my high school sports days. Last but not least on why I chose to analyze and write about Chick-fil-a's marketing strategy is because they have some of the best customer service of any restaurants out there. Fast food or upper-class establishments for me personally their service is unmatched. The 'giving back and pushing forward' campaign is a perfect example of Chick-fil-a's astronomical service and that's why I chose this article to analyze.

The article I chose to read goes over Chick-fil-a's overarching marketing strategy along with descriptions of their main marketing points and their success in marketing. last but not least the article describes why they are successful and what sets them apart from other fast-food chains. Some of the biggest and notable takeaways from this article are 1. the description of their neighborhood and national involvement like sponsorships in local community events (festivals, 5k races, recreation leagues). 2. The Chick-fil-a media team are rockstars at social media marketing, they don't just market nationally and throw up commercial ads, billboards, and produce an app like every other fast-food chain. Chick-fil-a targets local social media users with their media marketing. For example, Chick-fil-a runs geo-targeted Facebook ads for people within a 5-mile radius with pictures of a melty milkshake on a hot day around lunch time with captions like "who wants one?". these ads prove successful in bringing in local hungry customers to their nearest Chick-fil-a location thus boosting sales. 3. Chick-fil-a even makes your app customizable to your local Chick-fil-a location. Within the app the notifications, ads and deals are all sent from your local Chick-fil-a operator personally even with a picture and signature sent within the ad.

Chick-fil-a's value proposition is without a doubt their customer service. From their face-to-face service in the store to their local and national community involvement, and even their inclusion of their local customers with their customizable apps and ads. Everything about Chick-fil-a's marketing is about the inclusion of their customers and their service to their customers. Chick-fil-a's marketing relevance is structured by their targeting of the local customer base they build a community and a relationship with their customers by being so inclusive with their marketing and outreach programs.

Chick-fil-a wasn't always the marketing juggernaut we see today they have had challenges to overcome. it took Chick-fil-a over 40 years to even start a structured internal marketing team. This put Chick-fil-a behind the 8-ball compared to other fast-food chains. With that being said Chick-fil-a has long closed that marketing deficit with their fantastic marketing strategies. This is evident with Chick-fil-a's 2021 sales numbers. In 2021 Chick-fil-a had 16.7 billion dollars in sales compared to the year before that had 13.7 billion in sales that puts chick-fil-a at a 22% growth rate which is outstanding compared to the majority of their competitors.

The marketing strategy Chick-fil-a brings to the table is incredibly unique compared to their competitors especially when it comes to being a national fast-food chain. The community involvement and customer service of chick-fil-a's marketing is often duplicated but never replicated. Chick-fil-a seems to be in a ballpark of their own with their up close and personal marketing which makes it pretty unique to them and only them, I don't see McDonald's or Wendy's pulling off what Chick-fil-a does with their strategies.

In all honesty there is not much to critique about Chick-fil-a's marketing strategy I think they hit an absolute home run with their customer inclusion stance on the marketing game and I personally don't see chick-fil-a's batting average dropping below 300 or higher anytime soon (a little baseball joke for ya Rob!). If I were Chick-fil-a I wouldn't change a thing about my marketing strategy, I would just keep adding new ideas to make it fresh I would strive to stay updated and up to date with new fast food marketing strategies while staying in touch with my roots, continue to involve my customers locally and nationally like they have been doing.

I learned a lot about inclusion inside of marketing. Making customers feel good and feel included is a great way to keep customers coming back and gain new customers who want a taste of your value proposition (food and service).
